Master’s Degree in Sports Industry Start-ups and Development

The Master’s degree in Sports Industry Start-up and Development (SIS) at ESMAS is a Level 7 qualification registered with the RNCP. This two-year programme trains expert entrepreneurs and managers specialised in the innovative sports ecosystem, equipping them to design offerings that meet the specific needs of the sports environment.

This programme is perfectly suited to the needs of managers engaged in the sports industry, who seek creative, passionate, curious, and motivated collaborators.

The ESMAS Master SIS prepares students to be fully operational from their first professional experience. Courses, conferences, masterclasses, and business games are delivered by professionals who are experts in their fields.

Programme objectives

The Master’s degree in Sports Industry Start-up and Development (SIS) at ESMAS is a State-recognised Level 7 qualification designed to achieve the following learning outcomes:

  • Understand the legal and regulatory framework of entrepreneurship and the sports landscape.

  • Study and identify trends and innovation opportunities related to Sportech.

  • Master the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, from business plan development to securing financing.

  • Acquire management and marketing skills, with a focus on digital marketing strategies, communications, financial management, and sales techniques specific to the sports and start-up sectors.

  • Develop a professional network to establish connections with incubators, investors, federations, and partner companies, facilitating future career integration.

Duration

DURATION OF STUDIES:

  • 2 years for students holding a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification, and 1 year for students who have completed the first year of a Master’s programme.
  • Work-study programme available.

Prerequisites

ENTRY LEVEL(S)

Bachelor’s degree / Licence and Bac+4

Prerequisites: The Master’s degree in Sports Industry Start-up and Development at ESMAS is open to holders of a Bachelor’s degree / Licence or any other Level 6 qualification and, for entry into the second year of the Master’s programme, to candidates who have validated a Master 1 or have obtained a waiver from the certifying body.

Admission is based on the review of the application file and may include an interview.

Students entering the first year of the Master’s programme are required to validate all skills blocks

This programme does not offer any equivalences or transfer pathways.

Further Studies

This Master’s degree is professionally oriented and therefore leads directly to employment.

Admission Procedures and Deadlines

Access deadlines

  • Applications for the September 2026 intake are open from 1 March to 20 September 2026.
  • Applications for the deferred January 2027 intake remain open until 18 December.

Modalities

Access to our programmes may be initiated:

  • By the employer,
  • At the employee’s initiative, with their employer’s agreement,
  • By a student or their legal guardian
  • Work-study is available from the third year onwards

Upon completion of the application form, our institution undertakes to respond within 72 hours.

If the programme requires specific prerequisites, we will propose, regardless of the funding method you are considering, a knowledge assessment and/or a positioning interview (by telephone or videoconference) and/or a review of your application file.

The SIS programme in the specialisation year is organised around two (2) axes:

  • Block 2: Design a Digital Project Following a UX Design Approach Adapting to AI

  • Block 3: Manage a Digital Project Using Agile Methodology, Draft the Functional Specification and Technical Requirements

  • Block 4: Develop an E-Marketing and Communication Strategy for a Digital Entrepreneurship Project with AI Assistance

  • Block 5: Conduct Studies and Prepare Reports in Business Intelligence and Corporate Strategy
