Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurship and Business Development

The Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Business Development (EBD) at ESMAS is a Level 7 qualification registered with the RNCP. This two-year programme trains value creators and leaders capable of driving the growth of existing organisations or launching new enterprises.

This programme is perfectly suited to managers responsible for entrepreneurial development, who seek creative, passionate, curious, and motivated collaborators.

The ESMAS Master EBD prepares students to be fully operational from their first professional experience. Courses, conferences, masterclasses, and business games are delivered by professionals who are experts in their fields.

Programme objectives

The Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Business Development (EBD) at ESMAS is a State-recognised Level 7 qualification designed to achieve the following learning outcomes:

  • Acquire the tools and methodologies to transform an idea into a viable business model (Business Model Canvas, Lean Startup, Design Thinking).

  • Identify untapped market opportunities and design truly innovative product or service offerings.

  • Master Business Development (BizDev) techniques to identify new partners, markets, or high-potential customer segments.

  • Prepare a comprehensive and persuasive business plan, including market analysis, financing strategy, and operational planning.

  • Understand fundraising mechanisms, investment tools (Venture Capital, Growth Capital), and optimise the financial performance of a new entity.

  • Understand the challenges and strategies required to scale a business internationally.

  • Understand the ethical, legal, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) considerations in business development.

Duration

DURATION OF STUDIES:

  • 2 years for students holding a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification, and 1 year for students who have completed the first year of a Master’s programme.
  • Work-study programme available.

Prerequisites

ENTRY LEVEL(S)

Bachelor’s degree / Licence and Bac+4

Prerequisites: The Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Business Development at ESMAS is open to holders of a Bachelor’s degree / Licence or any other Level 6 qualification and, for entry into the second year of the Master’s programme, to candidates who have validated a Master 1 or have obtained a waiver from the certifying body.

Admission is based on the review of the application file and may include an interview.

Students entering the first year of the Master’s programme are required to validate all skills blocks

This programme does not offer any equivalences or transfer pathways.

Further Studies

This Master’s degree is professionally oriented and therefore leads directly to employment.

Admission Procedures and Deadlines

Access deadlines

  • Applications for the September 2026 intake are open from 1 March to 20 September 2026.
  • Applications for the deferred January 2027 intake remain open until 18 December.

Modalities

Access to our programmes may be initiated:

  • By the employer,
  • At the employee’s initiative, with their employer’s agreement,
  • By a student or their legal guardian
  • Work-study is available from the third year onwards

Upon completion of the application form, our institution undertakes to respond within 72 hours.

If the programme requires specific prerequisites, we will propose, regardless of the funding method you are considering, a knowledge assessment and/or a positioning interview (by telephone or videoconference) and/or a review of your application file.

1ST YEAR

The EBD programme in the 1st year, aimed at developing managerial skills, is structured as follows:

The EBD programme in the specialisation year is organised around two (2) axes:

AXIS 2: CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Validation of competency blocks:

  • Block 1: Create and Develop a Digital Entrepreneurship Project with AI Assistance

  • Block 2: Design a Digital Project Following a UX Design Approach Adapting to AI

  • Block 3: Manage a Digital Project Using Agile Methodology, Draft the Functional Specification and Technical Requirements

  • Block 4: Develop an E-Marketing and Communication Strategy for a Digital Entrepreneurship Project with AI Assistance

  • Block 5: Conduct Studies and Prepare Reports in Business Intelligence and Corporate Strategy
